Bigger isn’t always better – as we proved together with architect Alex Wu on an ambitious build on one of the smallest lots in the entire city of Atlanta. Smart design and flawless execution maximized space and views in this unique case.
“A Mews House,” as our client and architect Alex Wu calls it, was a very unique project to contribute to as general contractor/builder. Alex designed this house in Atlanta’s 3rd smallest lot, in the neighborhood of Old Fourth Ward. The lot was 20 feet wide, which allowed for the house to be a maximum of only 14 feet wide. Despite the challenges and restrictions presented by the lot; the end product was a beautiful 1700 SQFT, 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath, single-family home, and a triumph to forward-thinking design’s ability to maximize space.
